Interviewer: Ok. ¿Listo? Vale. Entonces te voy a hacer una serie de preguntas. 

Participant: Mhm.

I: Eh. No son nada académicas. Entonces no te preocupes. No necesitas saber nada. 

P: Nomás en español. 

I: Sí. [Okay.] O sea, bueno, en – como tú prefieras. Tú háblame normal. Okay.

Okay. 

A ver. Mmm. ¿Listo? Okay. Emm. ¿De dónde eres?

P: Am. Phoenix. Arizona.

I: Okay. ¿Y dónde vives ahora?

P: En Las Cruces, Nuevo México.

I: ¿Y has vivido en algún otro lugar?

P: No más Phoenix y Roswell. Oh, Roswell. (risa) [(risa)]

I: Bien, bien. Nice. ¿Cuáles lenguas hablas?

P:¿Inglés y español?

I: Okay. ¿Cómo aprendiste español?

P: Umm. Mi mamá y mi papá son de México. Y how do you say- dammit. They taught me Spanish. Me enseñaron español. 

I: Yeah. ¿Y de qué parte de México son tus papás?

P: Mi mamá es de Chihuahua y mi papá es de Durango.

I: ¿Has visitado alguna de esas ciudades? ¿Te gustaría visitar?

P: Sí, un día con ellos. Pero.

I: Pero no solo.

P: No, no, solo.

I: Okay. Um. ¿Cuál es tu tradición familiar favorita? Tradición. Es fes- como una festividad. Como Navidad. [Oh.] Mhm.

P: So like what time do we like like hang out a lot. ¿What’s our festival on our family?

I: ¿Like what’s your favorite family tradition?

P: Oh, pues. Navidad.

P: Porque toda mi fami- familia. Vamos a un casa y estamos en Phoenix o Roswell. Uno de los dos. Yeah, 

I:  Sí. ¿Y qué comen en Navidad?

P: Tamales, Pozole. Carne. Tacos. Brisket. I don’t know how to say that in Spanish. 

I: Mhm. Yo tampoco.

I: Wow. Um. ¿Me puedes contar sobre un momento memorable tuyo de la secundaria?

P: Highschool?

I: Mhm. 

P: Um. O, cuando ganamos el el State Championship para fútbol americano. Ganamos dos veces en el año de 2018 y 2019. [Mhm.] Y sí, estaba chido pues ganamos. We got a ring. [Mhm.] Ganamos uno, a medal. Gold medal. Y también nos dieron los camisas de- los rojo camisas del equipo. There you go. There you go.

I: Wow. Wow! Chévere, chévere. Y pues. Pues el futbol americano. ¿Qué ju- que posición [00:03:30] jugabas?

P: Ah, pues en español no sé, pero wide receiver. 

I: Okay. ¿Y en qué tenías que hacer a ellos?

P: Pues hice si corrían, I blocked [Mhm.] and if sí era un pass play, pues corrí, corrí un route y si if I’m open pues me la dan me la avientan y la cachaba y voy. 

I: A va nice. Es que yo no se de fútbol Americano. ¿Y el futbol americano es tu deporte favorito?

P: Sí, ese y otro. ¿Cuál es el otro? Ah wrestling? Pero en español es [luchas] luchar. ¿Luchar? Sí.

I: Sí. ¿Y has participado en luchas?

P: Sí, pero, um, I got an injury so, [oh no.] me pegué mi ordilla, ¿Ordilla? Ah , my knees (La rodilla). 

I: Sí, sí Claro. Y, um. Okay. ¿Qué quieres hacer cuando te gradúes?

P:¿Am, como de trabajo o que? ¿Como mi- my plan?

I: Pues los dos.

P: Pues quiero hacer un Physical Therapist o un Athletic Trainer, pero necesito ir en Grad School. Pero termino de eso. Me quiero ir a Phoenix, [Mhm.] No me quiero estar, no me quedo, no me quiero estar en Nuevo México.

I: ¿Sí, y Pero piensas hacer el Masterado o el Grad School aquí o en Phoenix?

P: No, en Phoenix está um expensive. [Caro, sí.] sí esta caro. Y aquí aquí no está. So maybe UNM. Museos de set Me.

I: Nice, nice y, mmm. ¿Y cómo piensas llegar a ser terapeuta físico?

P: Mmm pues? Cómo llego como la- the steps. 

I: Sí

P: So quiero lo primero internships y volunteer hours. [Mhm.]  No, no tengo nada. Tengo con mi tía, pero esos occupational therapy y necesito de Physical therapy. Y um. Cuando, cuando agarro más horas pues um voy en la escuela donde me aceptan and then um, pues creo que son tres años, cuesta mucho, um creo que voy a agarrar la licence porque eso sí cuestan y ya nomás eso. Cuando le agarro trabajo en Nuevo México y si me puedo mover a Phoenix pues me voy a Phoenix.

I: Vale. Pos sí. [Pero,]

P: quiero trabajar aquí primero.

I: Mmm. Para la experiencia. Sí. Okay. Nice. ¿Si pudieras viajar a cualquier lugar del mundo a dónde quisieras ir? ¿Y por qué?

P: fshuuu Son muchas.

I: ¿Puedes darme varios ejemplos?

P: Pues una es. ¿Dónde? ¿Cómo se llama? So, son- it’s like an island. ¿Cómo se dice island? (Isla). Isla pero is it the Bahamas? The Bahamas?  It’s like near like Florida and Cuba and all that but I think it’s in the Ba- Bahamas. I think that’s what it’s called, but never went there. I went to- fui a la Saint Croix Island ano está lejos, pero ahí están like pretty close. Y que- quiero ir ahí a las Bahamas. It’s pretty cool. Y también Hawaii, or France. [Mmm.] France también.

I: Sí, Sí. ¿A dónde quieres ir? En Francia.

P: Umm. Paris. 

I: ¿A París?

P: Sí.

I:  Sí. ¿Y por qué?

P: The Tower. [Ah. Pues sí.] I always see it in the movies pero nunca in like a in real life. How do you say that?

P: En persona. Sí.

P: Sí, sí.

I: ¿Y piensas subir hasta el tope?

P: Oh. No sé. (risa) Tengo miedo.

I: Sí.

P: En Chicago fui en el, Ellis Tower? Ellis Tower Building. Estaba grande y tenían como unas ventanas que se salían de la building. Y cuando ves abajo nomás es el suelo. Y me asusté.

I: Pues, sí, yo creo que, creo que la Torre Eiffel son solo como varillas. Entonces puedes ver siempre hacia abajo. No, no, no, [No].

P: No tengo miedo. 

I: Sí, a mí también me dan miedo las alturas y ¿Y por qué? ¿Y por qué las Bahamas o a Hawaii?

P: A mí me gusta la, la mar. Pero el, ¿En el California key, is it Atlantic or Pacific? 

I: Umm. 

P: Creo que es el Pacific [I think Pacific]. And then in Florida is the Atlantic so, me gusta más allá porque está todo como azul bonito. Y dónde está California o Hawaii está un poquito más- pos en California está un poquito más- like dark, [Mmm.] más- How you say dark? 

I: Oscuro. 

P: Oscuro la agua. Pero hay waves allá. y en el, dónde está la Atlantic? No hay, pero está todo azul. Puedes ver todo. The string rays and jellyfishes. [Wow. Pues sí.] Esta chido.

I: Nice. Hmmm. Okay. ¿Consideras que te expresas mejor en inglés o en es- o en español?

P: Dile la primer palabra.

I: Considera. 

P: Consi- What’s that? ¿Qué es eso?

I: Do you, would you say you express yourself better in English or Spanish? [ooo sí] 

P: Hablo más, mejor en inglés, pero quiero aprender español porque mis papás hablan español.

I: ¿Solo hablan español?

P: No, pero toda mi fam- familia cuando están juntos es todo español. No hablamos inglés.

I: Sí. Guau. ¿Y en tu trabajo? ¿Y en la escuela? ¿Hablas más de inglés o español?

P: En la escuela hablo nomas inglés. Pero en el trabajo creo que más español porque tengo pues amigos que hablan español.

I: Sí, y con tu- bueno, con tus amigos ya, y con tu pareja, ¿más inglés o español? 

P: Pareja iiiiis?

I: Uhh con tu novia. 

P: Oh. En inglés.

I: En inglés sí. Y cuando, ¿Y en tu cabeza piensas en inglés o en español?

P: ¿En inglés?

I: En inglés. ¿Siempre?

P: Sí, siempre.

I:¿No te pasa que a veces se te cruce una palabra en español? 

P: Mm mm. 

I: ¿No? A mi sí me pasa que pienso- [Cuando,]

P: cuando estaba chiquito um hablé- so me enseñaron español primero, pero cuando fui una en la en el en la escuela. [Mhm.] Cuando fui en la en la escuela aprendí inglés, pero hablé inglés y español. So Cuando hablé, cuando hablé, I was like “Yo quiero a comer-“ like, “yo quiero eat Ramen.” like I just mix up both words together.

I: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

P: Y nadie, like they just, medijeron que ya no puedo hablar español. So, hable más inglés y por años nomás hable en inglés. No, solo.

I: Sí. ¿Y cómo te sentiste cuando te dijeron que no podías hablar español?

P: No me acuerdo mucho.

I: ¿No?

P: Mmm mm.

I: Oh. ¿Qué tan chiquito estabas?

P: Preschool. So, como tres, cuatro.

I: Pues sí, no.

P: Speech Impediment? What’s that? 

I: Speech impediment? ¿Por qué? Did they tell you you had that?.

P: Creo que me dijeron mi mamá.

I: Oh, speech impediment is when you have like um a something within you he can be neurological psychological um it can be physically like something physical that doesn’t allow you to convey speech conventionally. [Yeah.] Pero probablemente era más como un delay [oh un delay] porque estabas aprendiendo dos idiomas y eso es normal cuando los niños aprenden como un idioma y después tienen que aprender otro inmediatamente. Suele haber como un desfase. [I uhh,]

P: Yeah, I think that’s true because um like my de- developmental stages, cuando crecí there all delayed. I was a little slower for some reason. No sé por qué.

I: Pues así pasa a veces. [Sí.] No hay necesidad, sí a veces es como el ambiente o algo genético. Mhm. Mmm. Interesante.

P: Sí.

I: Okay. ¿Y cómo sabes cuándo tienes que hablar español o inglés? 

[12:29]

P: Mmm. Pues no sé nomas sé si mi hablan en español, hablo español, pero si hablo inglés, hablo inglés. Pero a veces, como cuando trabajé o no, cuando trabajé aquí, allá en el snack bar hay, hay como hay tres personas que trabajan ahí, pero hay un hay un mujer, y cuando la vi la primera vez nomás hable español y no sé por qué. [(risa)] Que- I don’t want to like say- I don’t know if it’s bad or not, pero hablo español.

I: Ah, pues que bueno, porque si no sabía.

P: I know.

I: Sí, um, va. Y um.

P: Nomás pasa.

I: Sí, nomás pasa, ¿verdad? ¿Y este? ¿Tú sabes qué es el spanglish?

P: No, me dijistes, pero es como no le entendí nomás el paso o las cruces o como.

I: Pues sí, que el spanglish es como cuando la gente u- usa- habla usando español e inglés en la misma oración.

P: Oh so El Paso, eso sí.

I: Mhm.

P: Pos. Así es everywhere. ¿Qué no? En Nuevo México.

I: Sí. En muchas personas- [Como en Roswell]

P: Así, así están.

I: Sí. Normalmente en las ciudades fronterizas hay mucha población que habla spanglish. ¿Tú consideras que tú hablas spanglish? 

P: Mhm. 

I: Sí. ¿Y lo haces así como conscientemente o solo es como lo que salga?

P: Sí, como sé más en inglés, pero en español se, so. Pero cuando, cuando necesito hablar español. Sí, hablo.

I: Claro. Sí. Y con tus papás hablas spanglish.

P: Ah, sí, mi papá sí. Y mi mamá mi mamá apenas aprendió inglés y es un assistant teacher [O wow.] with kids.

I: Mhm. Sí. ¿Y qué opinas tú del spanglish?

P: Pues pues no, es culture ¿qué no? como así nomás. Es bueno, creo. Y I think its- I- it’s good for our brains too. I don’t know to say that in spanish, but just knowing to languages and being bilingual is just better for everyone.

I: ¿Sí, conoces muchas personas que hablan en spanglish?

P: Mmm.

P: ¿Cuando dices Spanglish is just English and Spanish? 

I: Mhm. 

P: Sí, muchas personas [al mismo tiempo.] ¿y que?

I: Como como por decir yo te estoy hablando así en español and then like I can-

P: Y yo hablo en español con así. Sí, sí, tengo muchos amigos.

I: Sí, pues aquí mucha gente que habla spanglish, no.

P: Sí. Es que entiendo español, pero no lo puedo hablar muy bien.

I: Ah. 

P: So, yo hablo inglés pa atrás o español si puedo.

I: ¿Y tú crees que tú entiendes el español igual que entiendes el inglés?

P: Mm mm.

I: ¿No?

P: No más inglés. Sí. 

I: Pero ¿sí entiendes bastante el español también?

P: Mhm. Hay unas palabras que no, pero sí unas no mucho, pero.

I: Pues sí. Em. 

P: Not a really big difference. 

I: Sí. Em. A ver. Otra pregunta divertida. Em si tuvieras que escoger un lenguaje para hablar el resto de tu vida. Pero solo puede ser uno. ¿Cuál sería? Así lo hablas perfecto. 

P: Español. 

I: ¿Español? ¿Por qué?

P: Pues mi fami- familia hablan español y si y si no más hablo inglés, pues no puedo hablar con ellos.

I:¿Y de ahí como vas a hablar con tu novia?

P: Ella habla español.

I: ¿Ah, sí? ¿Y solo hablan en inglés entonces?

P: Sí. Um habla español e inglés. Hablo más mejor de mi, pero hablamos en inglés porque no sé.

I: (risa) Así pasa. Mmm. Veamos. En Phoenix hay muchas personas que hablan español. ¿Sí.?

P: Mu- muchas personas, sí. 

I: ¿Y en Roswell?

P: También. Pero más en Phoenix. Más en Phoenix. 

I: ¿Sí? 

P: Sí. 

I: ¿Y cómo es el español ahí? 

P: ¿En Phoenix? [Mhm.] Pues la, la misma forma. Sí, es la misma en, muchas personas hablan like a lot like anywhere you go they’re going to speak Spanish. In Florida, though. That’s a different Spanish. Someone called me “amor’ and I was like “what the-” or son or I don’t know what she said. [(risa)] but así hablan. It’s a different Spanish in Florida. [Mhm.] When I went there.

I: Sí. ¿Qué más? ¿Te acuerdas del español de Florida?

P: [17:26] Uhh. Dijeron muchas palabras que como yo no, yo no podía. [17:30] like, i didn’t know. My mom and dad were having trouble and were there for a whole week. So we were just just vacation y ever- we went out a eat every time. So cuando nos hablaban like I wouldn’t understand it. Pero mis papás kinda. [Mhm.] Pero no me acuerdo mucho ‘cause it was like middle school [oh] or freshman year high School.

I: Sí. ¿Y te gustaría regresar?

P: Sí.

I: ¿Sí? ¿Con el español y todo?

P: [17:58] Ah, ya, uh, yeah.

P: Slurring its cool. Is it Cuban? Cuban or?

I: Eh, Hay una mezcla, [Yeah?] un español caribeño, [It’s pretty cool.] español sudamericano también. [Mhm.] Sí, sí, pero sí, hay bastante español cubano ahí también en Florida. Sí, ellos hablan muy rápido.

P: Sí, mu- es muy rápido.

I: Sí. Em. ¿Qué piensas del término chicano? ¿Sabes qué significa chicano?

P: Término no sé, pero Chi- Chicano es como que mis papás son de México. Y yo soy an American. ¿Qué no?

I: Sí.

P: Sí. 

I: Sí, es algo así. [Sí.] Y. ¿Y qué opinas de las personas? [pero, term- ¿termino?] Termino. Es como decir the term. 

P: Oh.

I: like, terminology.

P: Oh, pues apenas aprendí este año esa palabra.

I: Sí que yo te dije. (risa)

P: No, no, la abuelita de mi novio me dijo. Pero no, no [19:00] sé mucho de esa palabra.

I: ¿Qué te dijo la abuelita de tu novia?

P: Que soy chicano. (risa) [(risa)]

I: Pues si sus papás son de México. 

P: Sí. I was like oh okay, pues soy chicano. 

I: Sí. Pues nice.Y pues ya así como pensando como que tú eres chicano.

P: Pues no. Nomás no. Mis papás son de México y nací en Estados Unidos. Así no más. No, No piense mucho. No estoy enojado. Nada. Just okay. (risa) Soy chicano.

P: ¿Todo bien?

I: Sí, todo bien. No te preocupes. Estoy aquí. [Okay.] Umm. Okay. Cuéntame cómo fue. ¿Cómo fue crecer en Phoenix?

P: Umm. Pues, estaba solo mi mamá so siempre me cuidó mi mis tías. Pero son como herm- hermanas becasue they’re like- we’re six years apart so, not that bad. Y um, pues estaba feliz. Tenía ADHD like bad [Guau.] so siempre corrí corrí como en las mañanas comí y me fui [Mhm.] y vine pa atrás, como en el día para comer otra vez tomar agua ye fui y me fui. Siempre nomás corrí. Siempre.

P: Nomás eso. 

I: (risa) ¿Solo eso? 

P: Run! Run! 

I: ¿Sí? Wow. ¿Y nunca pensaste en hacerte corredor profesional?

P: No, no. (inaudible) 

I: Oh, pues sí ¿no? Sí. Sí. Ym, Y tienes algunos. ¿Tienes hermanos o hermanas?

P: Ah, tengo un hermano. Unos se falle- falleció y tengo un, de mi papá- biológical dad tengo dos hermanos y un stepsister.

I: Mmm. ¿Y les conoces? [Sí.] ¿Te llevas bien?

P: Sí, 

I: Sí. 

P: Son, they’re I like me. It’s funny.

I: [21:13] Sí. ¿Cómo?

P: Pues una, uno se llama Damián y es, ¿Cuántos años tiene? He’s in fourth grade pero tiene nueve, nueve años. Y mi hermano, sophomore year ya tiene quince. Y ya está a como hasta aquí. Ya. So you got it early. Pero ya está todo. Um hablo como yo, loves training is pretty good at sports.

P: Está chistoso and ADHD Like crazy.

I: ¿Corre también?

P: Yeah. All the time. [(risa)] Um, sí. They like like physical wise they resemble me. Like they look like me. And then I look- we all look like my dad. Oh, [00:22:00] so like it’s pretty cool.

P: [22:12] Mmm. Pues. Y. No pero en las las dos familias como de mi papá my step dad y mi mamá, pues mi hermano Aiden. We really have each other y um para como jugar juegos, correr, hacer cosas como afuera pues Christian el fifteen year old.

I: Nice nice, ay a ver, veamos. Okay. ¿Cuál considerarías que es tu primera lengua? ¿El inglés o el español?

P: Dilo otra vez, por favor.

I: ¿Cuál considerarías que es tu primera lengua?

P: Oh. Español.

I:¿Español? Sí. ¿Por qué?

P: The question you asked said which one would you prefer? Or which one did I learn first? 

I: Which one do you consider your native tongue?

P: Oh. Pues Español right, they taugh me that. [¿Sí?] But native tongue do you say like what I’m better at?

I: Native like um kind of like the one you-  like you know how like babies suddenly like start speaking. I don’t know-

P: Oh pues en español. 

I: ¿Sí? 

P: Sí, pero ya no, ya no mucho.

I:¿Eh? ¿De casualidad sabes cuál fue tu primera palabra?

P: Pos mamá.

I: ¿Mama? [Mhm.] ¿En español? [Mhm.] ¿A como qué edad?

P: Ah, eso no me acuerdo. 

I: ¿No? La mía fue Coca-Cola. (risa) 

P:  (risa) ¿Coca-cola? A ti te gusta la Coca-cola? [Esque hacia mucho claro,] 

I: No, dicen que estábamos en la playa y que había una señora vestida de plateado promocionando la Coca-Cola Zero [O so no Coca-Cola.] y que yo dije Coca-Cola. (risa)

P: Coca-Cola. Que chistoso.

I: La de Juan fue salchicha. [Salchicha.] Porque le habían quitado la salchicha de la mesa.

P: Las salchichas son buenas.

I: Sí. (risa) Sí. A ver. Um. ¿Tienes algún recuerdo de tu infancia que sea tu favorito?

P: Mi infancia, like fantasy? 

I: Uh, infancia como when you were a kid.

P: Oh. Mmm. Mmm. ¿Está pensando a ver? Oh, cuando, cuando. Mi mamá y mi mi abuelita me dieron un PSP and a DS. 

I: Wow.

P: That was pretty cool.

I:¿Y cuál juego era tu favorito?

P: Eh, Need for Speed. 

I: Sí. ¿Por qué?

P: Carros, me gustan. [¿Sí?] Carrors.

P: Uh primero, como a las tres o cuatro. Uno de esos. Pero era mi cumpleaños.

I:¿Ah, sí?

P: Pero no me acuerdo mucho.

P: En el parque.

I: Ay qué lindo. Sí. ¿Y qué te gustaba hacer después de la escuela cuando eras pequeño?

P: Correr. (risa)

I: ¿Correr? (risa)

P: Pues sí. (risa)

P: Um, me gustaba ver en el noche me gustaba ver el movie Cars con mi, con mi abuelita.

I: Y ¿cuál era tu personaje favorito?

P: ¿En el Cars? Pues Lightning McQueen. 

I: ¿Sí? 

P: En el, en second Matter. Y a ver. Oh! también esos, cuando cuando, they’re on their way to California. For the new for the new race ‘cause they tied los tres. Um, cuando se estaba durmiendo Mack en el Highway y vinieron como cuatro carros all mauded out  like purple, green, yes. [Those? (risa)] Those guys. I don’t know their names they don’t say it pero, I think they said it now, pero I like the way those cars are. Those are my favorites too.

I: Sí. ¿Alguna vez quisieras tener un carro así?

P: Mmm. I’m gonna get one. Pero no es eso. Mmm. No el Corvette the CO6 in Cars Two. Ese.

I: ¿Sí, ese? No sé cuál es.

P: It’s a, it’s the old Corvette with the circles on the back lights and they’re small. 

I: Yeah, uh huh.  

P: they’re like that but it’s circle. Their back lights are two- four circles.

P: Mmm.[28:25] Terminó con Crush. Oh, no. El era el último race que tenía Lightning. Y nomás fue- he only did half the race. Y agarro Cruise, su trainer, to race and she won.  So yeah, there’s a lot that happened a lot of drama but I don’t know what to say that in Spanish. (risa)

P: Pues estaba nervor- nervioso. Nervous.

P: Y pues no hablé con nadie. Nomás vine y me sinete y ya. Y cuando, sí nomás me senté. No hice nada.

I: ¿Y cómo hiciste amigos a ellos?

P: Um, ellos- cuando los días pasaron me dijo hora- hola. Y a veces como yo, cuando no estoy haciendo nada, nomás hablo con ellos. Pero primero era Michel, Alan, mmm. Oh, ¿cómo se llama? Mitch. [Mhm.] Y. Sí. Creo que ya. Porque tú vinistes cuando yo estaba trabajando y, sí nomás. Y hablé mucho con Coral.

I: No, sí me acuerdo. A (lauhgs) este, nice! Um. ¿Y cuál fue tu primer trabajo que tuviste así en la vida?

P: Era, trabaje en una e asistant janitor en Roswell High School. Era el High School donde yo fui. Trabajé en las mañanas. Oh no tenía práctica en la mañanas. Y cuando terminó ese prácticas seis a ocho, fui a trabajo a las like eight twenty y pues trabajé hasta las una, dos. Sí, a las dos [31:00] o tres. No. Sí, sí, Las tre- tres. Sí, ya nomás lim- sacamos todos los cosas de los cuartos y limpiamos todo. Uh, change the lights y uh dust everything. Y agarramos un giant scrubber y we took all the waxs off y ponimos más wax and pintamos y sí, estaba como, como así esos manchas que tiene como así eso estaban y no se quitaron con un trapo, pues lo pintamos y movimos todo otra vez al cuarto. (risa)

 I: (risa) mucho trabajo. 

P:  Sí era era mucho pero nomas en, a ¿cómo se dice Summer?

I: Verano, 

P: ¿Verano? 

I: Verano. 

P: Mmm. Never heard that. 

I:Y va. Ultima pregunta. ¿Qué piensas del español?

P: Mmm. [32:04] Pues. No. Pues el mismo como inglés, no más acá en donde vivimos nosotros creo que que personas necesitan a saber español porque más trabajo or si tienes como un compañia y hablas español inglés pues más mejor y nomas um, just meet new people so always good have a good social life and meet other people in different languages, but yeah, I don’t really think much about Spanish. Just the same as English. It’s just everyone’s  preference I guess if you learn spanish or not, but yeah, I couldn’t  say that in Spanish.
